Export your roster from Infinite Campus
DigTechTools needs a roster CSV. This one-minute video shows exactly where to find it in Infinite Campus, which two boxes to check, and the menu that hides the CSV option.

Open the Roster Report
In Infinite Campus, go to Instruction, then Reports, then Roster Report. Pick the section you want a roster for.

Turn on Student Number
Under Student Options, check Student Number. This is the one setting that matters most, it is what keeps a student matched to the same record every time you re-upload.

Add Gender if you want balanced teams
Check Gender under Student Options. Team Creator can balance teams by gender, but only if the column is in the file.

Generate the CSV, not the PDF
Open the arrow next to Generate PDF and choose Generate CSV. A PDF cannot be imported. The file lands in your Downloads folder.
Not using Infinite Campus?
PowerSchool, Skyward, and most other student information systems can export a roster CSV too, and DigTechTools will ask you to match up the columns after you upload. The file needs one row per student, with a student ID, a first name, and the class name. Everything else is optional.
